ABOUT THE ROLE
Multus is seeking a dynamic and motivated Business Development Associate to support our commercial growth and market expansion efforts as we power the breakthroughs that matter most. You will work closely with senior leadership to drive customer acquisition, manage our sales pipeline, and enhance our market presence while representing our company and products with confidence in a variety of markets.
Please note: This is an in-person first role and may require occasional travel
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Business Development & Sales
- Pipeline Management: Execute and optimise the complete lead-to-customer pipeline, implementing systematic processes from initial outreach through contract closure, CRM, and account management to drive repeat sales.
- Business Operations: Handle operational coordination (scheduling, meeting organization, booth setup) and lead outreach to industry publications for thought leadership opportunities, ensuring recognition as an innovator in sustainable protein and biopharma industries
- Lead Generation: Help generate new leads and identify biopharma market expansion opportunities while conducting market research on trends, competitive landscape, and customer acquisition approaches
- Customer Relations & Partnership Building: Support customer relationship building through participation in calls (exploratory meetings, product feedback sessions, sales presentations, proposal drafting, term sheets) and driving repeat sales initiatives with testimonial gathering
- Strategic Support: Coordinate strategic commercial growth initiatives by supporting industry event representation (conferences, trade shows, networking), compiling market intelligence from customer feedback, and executing go-to-market strategies with sales materials to achieve revenue targets
Marketing & Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Marketing Execution: Execute marketing initiatives alongside external marketing agency to implement social media presence, website content updates, and multi-channel campaigns while supporting creation of compelling collateral (case studies, white papers, product flyers)
- Team Collaboration: Collaborate with leadership on commercial planning and customer success initiatives while working with R&D and Operations teams for seamless customer experience through collaborative scheduling and planning
